We’re looking for a Technical Manager to join our team! In this role, you'll oversee all technical aspects of stage and event presentation, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of professionalism. You’ll work flexible 40-hour weeks across 5 days to support productions, maintain equipment, and manage the technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the technical team and liaise with visiting artists and companies
Oversee staging, lighting, sound, and production duties for various events
Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and complete risk assessments
Manage technical budgets and control event-related costs
Maintain all technical equipment and keep accurate records
Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and development of the technical team
Support the Facilities Manager with building maintenance

A passion for live events and theatre production
Strong leadership skills to empower and inspire the team
Excellent attention to detail in communication and planning
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to collaboration and excellence in all aspects of technical production
Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance

Desirable Skills:

Technical or production training
Knowledge of lighting, sound, video, rigging, and set construction
Experience interpreting technical plans and managing productions
Understanding of fire safety and security in a technical environment
Proven experience leading a technical team
