ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for bar supervisors to work across the Congress Theatre, Devonshire Park Theatre, and Winter Gardens!

Welcome our guests to the venue with a personable, genuine touch, ensuring no individual leaves without feeling like a valued and appreciated customer.

To sell and promote our products/merchandise as required.

Bar duties and the sale of alcohol products.

Collaborate with the venue team to ensure the delivery of events, implement service standards, standard operating procedures and all housekeeping and setup of our event spaces.

The cover bar supervisor role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the theatre bars, ensuring smooth service and a positive customer experience during performances and other events. The role involves supervising casual bar staff, handling customer issues, ordering stock and supplies, counting in stock deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

ABOUT YOU

Well-presented and punctual, with strong customer service skills. Previous experience working in theatre or an entertainment venue would be an advantage.

  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude, with skills to handle enquiries and resolve issues
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment, as well as having a proficiency in using a till.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak periods
  • Ability to lead and motivate the bar team, create a positive work environment, and collaborate with other teams
  • Good knowledge of drinks and responsible alcohol service practices with an ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and maintain a clean and organised bar area.
